The International Space Station (ISS) is a space station, or a habitable artificial satellite, in low Earth orbit. Its first component was launched into orbit in 1998, with the first long-term residents arriving in November 2000. It has been inhabited continuously since that date. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Space_Station

[^] NASA LIVE Video: Earth From Space | Real Footage - Video From The International Space Station ISS
[^] Live video from the International Space Station includes internal views when the crew is on-duty and Earth views at other times. The video is accompanied by audio of conversations between the crew and Mission Control. This video is only available when the space station is in contact with the ground.
During "loss of signal" periods, viewers will see a blue screen. Since the station orbits the Earth once every 90 minutes, it experiences a sunrise or a sunset about every 45 minutes. When the station is in darkness, external camera video may appear black, but can sometimes provide spectacular views of lightning or city lights below. [v]

NASA Astronauts Gear Up for Launch to Space Station Next Month | Space space
By Meghan Bartels 2019-02-23T12:21:18Z Spaceflight  Nick Hague and Christina Koch are a little busy: In just three weeks, the NASA astronauts and their Russian counterpart will climb into a Soyuz capsule, blast off from a launch pad in Kazakhstan and make their way to the International Space Station for a six-month stay. The three-person crew has just completed its final exams, a mandatory set of tests that ensure astronauts are prepared for their flight and anything that can go wrong during... {open}

Gateway Foundation Shows off Their Plans for an Enormous Rotating Space Station - Universe Today
Universe Today Space and astronomy news Since the end of the Apollo-era, one of the main goals of NASA, Roscosmos and other space agencies has been the development of technologies that will enable a long-term human presence in space. These technologies will also help when it comes time to mount renewed missions to the Moon, to Mars, and other locations in the Solar System. Over the past few decades, these efforts have yielded Mir and the International Space Station (ISS). In the coming years, these ... {open}

Yes, this is a real view of the ISS transiting the moon - CNET
CNET también está disponible en español. Don't show this again The International Space Station looks like it could touch the lunar surface. This composite image shows the ISS transiting the moon. Look up at the right time and you can spot the International Space Station with the naked eye. It looks like a tiny bright dot moving across the night sky.  {open}

Johns Hopkins APL Launches Two CubeSats From International Space Station | ExecutiveBiz
The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has deployed a pair of CubeSats from the International Space Station under a flight demonstration and test initiative. APL said Wednesday it utilized a 60-foot satellite dish to establish a communications link with the two 3U CubeSat units, which were launched from the orbital laboratory via a NanoRacks CubeSat Deployer on Jan. 31. The effort is part of the CubeSat Assessment and Test mission, an experiment led by researchers from APL and spons... {open}

Russia To Fly Space Tourists To The International Space Station
Russia has been flying space tourists to the International Space Station since 2001. It has taken up seven people so far who were willing to go and had the pockets deep enough to pay for the trip. The country is going to add to that number in a couple of years as it’s going to fly two space tourists to the ISS in late 2021. Roscosmos, Russia’s space agency, has inked an agreement with Space Adventures to take two “spaceflight participants” to the International Space Station in late 2021. They will ... {open}

inside the international space station

The International Space Station has a variety of multidisciplinary laboratory facilities and equipment available to conduct science that can't be done on Earth! These capabilities have been built by NASA and its international partners and can be made available on a time-shared basis to other U.S. government agencies, academia and private entities to pursue their own mission-driven research and applications on the space station.
